EXPERIENCE:
Bonjour, my name is Julia. I am a French native speaker, born and raised in Provence near Marseille with Spanish roots. Maybe, it is for that reason that foreign cultures have always appealed to me and have always been a part of my professional and personal life.
After living and working in France as a personal assistant in the petrochemical field for many years, I decided to make a big career change and resumed my studies as my dream had always been to be a teacher.
Shortly after making that choice, I had the opportunity to move to Ireland where I did a voluntary job as a French and English teacher in a language school. That was in 2016 and I never left Ireland since then.
I went on gaining work experience as a language teacher on-line in one-to -one sessions with teenagers (preparing them for national exams) and as a French teacher for Irish adults and children in group classes.
I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language and I now have 6 years of experience with students from 3 to 78 years old, from different backgrounds and with various objectives.
I cannot imagine my life without teaching French as I thrive on transmitting my language and culture and help people to achieve their goals. My priority is to build a relationship of trust with my students as to me, it is one of the keys to progress. I also have a preference to teach French with a fun based approach as you tend to remember better when you have fun but I obviously adapt to the needs and the profiles of my students.
I am said to be energetic, persistent and enthusiastic and I am always up for a good laugh.
When I am not working, I like travelling, running, dancing, Pilates, trying new restaurants, going to the movies and going for walks in the countryside or on the beaches with my family.
I cannot wait to meet you and to help you with reaching your goals whatever your level and needs are.
A bientôt.
