French Immersion Workshops in France

We are very excited to announce the dates of our next immersion workshop!

4-day workshop on May 22-25, 2024

It will take place in the beautiful city of La Rochelle, in France.

Improve your French speaking and comprehension skills in one of the most attractive cities on the West coast of France. Learn in a classroom in a stunning 16th century building in the city center, and join our exciting outdoor cultural excursions. Meet like-minded people and caring French teachers and experience a wonderful balance between fun and learning!

French immersion workshop La Rochelle

4-Day French Immersion Workshop: May 22rd thru May 25th, 2024

This workshop will last a total of 4 full days with half-day classes and half-day language and cultural activities in the beautiful city of La Rochelle.

This exciting French immersion course is created and hosted by the founders and teachers of the French learning sites Learn French at Home and French Accent Magazine: Céline Van Loan, Vincent Anthonioz, Alexandra Anthonioz, Annick Stevenson and Roger Stevenson.

During these 4 days, the students will have the opportunity to practise their verbal skills in context, learn about French culture and history and meet other like minded class mates.  Outdoor cultural activities will be organised as well to immerse the students in the French life and culture. A few grammar points will be reviewed.

Our team of teachers will help you experience a wonderful and memorable time in this unique workshop. Many hours are spent into preparing of the activities to ensure an interesting and fun experience for each participant. Most of the activities are organised in small groups and they are all performed in a very positive and friendly environment.

Exquisite lunches are included everyday.

For the ones who wish to continue to socialise in French for 2 of the evenings, they will have the option to join us for dinner in one of the restaurants in town.

The French Immersion Workshops will take place in the beautiful city center of La Rochelle, France.

The details of the workshops will be sent to the participants a month before the event, but you can expect the following:

-Classes will take place in the Champlain hotel. You  will engage in hours of language building skills in the classroom every day.
The activities will include comprehension and verbal expression work, grammar points, everyday life and idiomatic expressions, all put into context through projects, games and exercises in mini groups.

During the4-day  immersion workshop, you can expect cultural activities and half day field trip excursions with language learning objectives.

-Lunch will take place either the hotel or in a restaurant in the city center of La Rochelle.

-Dinners are optional, depending on if you wish to continue to socialise in French during the evenings.

Payment conditions:
2-day workshop: full payment is due at registration.

4-day workshop payment schedule:
Deposit of $500/500€/£500 at registration. The remaining payment will be due at the end of February, 2024. An invoice will be sent to you.

Cancellation policy:

2-day workshop: 100% fully refundable before October 31st, 2023. After that date, there will be a 50% cancellation fee.

4-day workshop: 100% fully refundable before March 1st 2024. After that date, there will be no refund on the deposit.
