We are thrilled to return to Santa Barbara and host a French learning event during Bastille Week!
This exciting French immersion course, created by the Directors of Learn French at Home, promises two full days filled with motivating and enjoyable activities. You’ll have the chance to practice your French in a truly immersive setting.
Céline, the main organizer, is eager to meet you or see you again. Join us for an unforgettable experience!

Join us for an immersive 2-day French learning experience at the beautiful and historic Hotel Santa Barbara!
Workshop Highlights:
- Classes will take place in the Santa Barbara hotel. You will engage in hours of language building skills in the classroom every day.Engage in group exercises designed to enhance your verbal skills in context. Learn everyday spoken French.

Who is this event for ?
This French Immersion Retreat is for Intermediate French level students. At this level, you already have learned the past tenses (imparfait et passé composé), the future tenses as well as the conditional one and you wish to practise them in context. You know how to ask and answer questions on personal details, make requests, and hold basic conversations on familiar topics.

What are you going to learn?
During this workshop, the lessons and activities will include the following (and more…):
-Clarify and practice question making along with preposition of times through presentations.
-Vocabulary and verbs to describe what you see, smell and feel. How to share your opinion.
-Verbs in the conditional tense to make suggestions and create hypotheses.
-Activities to work the comprehension skills with the everyday life language, and idiomatic expressions. Learn and use the language the French use with their family and friends.
-Cultural discussions on French culture and history.

The 2-day workshop ticket is 100% fully refundable before June 1st 2026. After that date, it is 50% refundable before June 17th 2026.
After June 17th, 2026, the full workshop price is not refundable, but it can be transferred to another person.
