Tutor Biography

Bonjour! My name is Sophie and I was born in Brittany. I love travelling, meeting new people and sharing my knowledge. I have been living in Spain for 8 years so I speak Spanish fluently. I have been teaching languages for more than 16 years. I teach all levels and all ages (children, teenagers and adults).

I worked in different countries (France, Spain, Ireland) and in different places : in student’s homes, in academies, in schools and now by skype. I enjoy teaching this way because it’s very lively and efficient. Having taught many sudents from different nationalities helped me understand the typical mistakes according to the nationality of the student. During these years I put in place specific explanations,  created special lessons and exercices and many useful tips to understand better the way the language works. During the classes, I focus particularly on pronunciation because it’s essential for gaining a comfort level in foreign languages. I teach all the areas of the language : speeking, listening, reading and writing.

I have a lot of experience in preparing the students to pass the official exams from A2 to C2. I teach them the method for passing the exam without stress. My way of teaching is at the same time enjoyable and structured. I adapt my classes to the students’ needs and their personality.

I enjoy teaching because it’s a wonderful way to exchange in many fields and my best reward is when my students are happy and realize how fast they’re improving.
