EXPERIENCE:
Bonjour, je m’appelle Benjamin and I have been a French teacher since 2012. I have 10 years of experience teaching French in Canada, Iceland, Poland, and online. I have taught French to hundreds of students from 8 to 80 years old in both virtual and in-school classrooms.
I obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language from the Université de Nantes (France) and a B.A. in Linguistics from the Université d’Orléans (France). I own a DELF/DALF certification so I can say I have a solid knowledge of the components of those exams.
I am a passionate language learner myself – I believe learning a foreign language is a fun and engaging way to improve problem-solving skills, expand general knowledge, and increase cultural awareness. During my classes, I want my students to feel comfortable and engaged. That’s why I like to tailor my lessons to the student’s interests. My lessons are interactive and they include activities such as games, Q&A, and role-plays. My goal is to engage students from the very first minute of each lesson.
Between the lessons, I practice a lot of sports such as football, tennis, padel. I am also interested in learning and experiencing how analog photography works.
Besides my work, I practice various sports, such as football, tennis, and padel. I am also interested in learning and experiencing how analog photography works. I am also a language learner – I speak Spanish and I am currently learning Swedish.
